So Zippo and I were having some more dinner table conversation about TF2 and the subject of drinking and video games came up. Now we all know that there are a variety of drinking games.
I would like to propose a TF2 drinking game. I'd need some help fleshing out the rules though. These are my thoughts thus far. This is done with the goal of evening out the skill spectrum. As such, this will be more punishing to players who are doing better. We do need to be able to discern drinking requirements solely from the ticker in the upper right corner of the HUD.
1) A drinking trigger for the individual player. If you kill someone with less points than you on the in game scoreboard, you have to drink. Ties would count against the most recent killer. First example: Sparq kills Klepac. The scoreboard now shows both players with 4 points. Sparq would drink in this case. Second example: Sparq has 10 points while Klepac has 30. Sparq can kill Klepac all day and never have to drink. Whenever Klepac kills Sparq, Klepac drinks.
2) Drink twice when scoring a melee kill. A backstab will be excluded from this. Regular knife kills will not. Crit or not, if you melee kill someone, you drink. Sudden death rounds ARE NOT excluded.
3) Drink once for any type of instant kill. This would count headshots, backstabs, telefrags, etc. This is anything that you can discern is instant only from the data in the upper right corner. Sticky traps would not count for this rule. Crit rockets, flame, pipes, etc. also do not count for this rule.
4) A domination means you're the dominated's drinking parter. Whenever the person you that you dominated drinks, so do you. A revenge will remove the partnership. For example, Klepac dominates Sparq. Sparq then kills someone with an axe. Sparq has to drink two because of the melee kill and Klepac has to drink two also because he is Sparq's partner. Drinking partner rules take precedence over all other rules.
5) Social drinks (everybody drinks) occur when a round ends. This should probably only be the winning team instead.
6) If you die by fall damage you get to hand out a drink to someone. Finishing someone off does not count for this. They have to die from a bad rocket jump, sticky jump, missing a jump, etc. I also think that dying to your own Sentry should count for this (death only, not the assist).
7) The last rule is somewhat silly. Assuming all talk is on, anyone who says the word "crit", "crits", or "critical" would have to drink. I'll have a lot of trouble with that one.
8) Sorry, one last rule. Sparq drinks.
So what's the verdict? Am I totally awesome or just a big windbag who is wasting all your oxygen? We don't need the whole server to be playing, we just need a handful of people playing. Also, you can't care about your stats too much.

The rules suck! If the rules were true, I'd be dead by the end of the first round. :p
Aside from the fact, I still live at home so it's hard for me to consume large amounts of alcahol.

I dunno how you're going to keep track. Why don't we just have a volunteer drunk gaming night? Either, I'm game.

The rules seem a little hard to follow but I'm sure after a round or two, people / I would get the hang of it. I'm in.

Like most drinking games I've played, I expect that any attempt at a structured rule set would collapse into random drinking pretty quickly anyway. Which is fine with me.

Every time I think of drinking games it reminds me of that scene in "Beerfest" where the guy thinks he's dancing with this hot woman.

With that much stuff to remember, I'd probably just end up drinking for the hell of it. We could all just get together and play hammered, or in the process of getting hammered.
